The New Year has started with a big freeze in most of the country. It is great for the plumbing business, but it is also a distraction. A sharp freeze makes you focus on the now, and you can lose sight and rhythm for changing your future.
Have you actually written down the new goals for 2017? What are you doing differently to achieve those goals? Just writing down the goals is good, but you do know the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. So, what are you doing differently to change your business? How are you educating yourself? Who have you told about the new goals so they can help you achieve them?
I don’t know who originally said this, but write it down, tape it to your bath mirror, put it on your desk, or your truck sun visor, or anywhere you can see it daily – “Today I will do the things that other people won’t, so tomorrow I can do the things that other people can’t”. Let this become your mantra for 2017. Is changing yourself easy? Is it easy to do things differently? NO. But, if you want to achieve those dreams, you cannot keep doing the same thing and hoping things will be different. Do it now! If I can help, let me know.
